| Even bigger than Lake Amistad, Falcon is found on the Rio Grande below Laredo, in Zapata, Texas.Also known as Falcon Reservoir, the massive 80,000 lake is found on the Texas-Mexico border south of Zapata, Texas. Built in the 1950's, Falcon is the oldest of the three lakes Ray fishes. Five-fish stringers weighing over thirty pounds are common. The lake has vast amounts of flooded South Texas brush country with arroyos and flats. Bass and bait fish have plenty of cover in Falcon, with old towns, ranch houses, and a Spanish mission all covered with water.
Ray asks for a two-day minimum booking for a trip of catching several kinds of bass. |
