Almost 30,000 acres of water make up Choke Canyon, a Frio River fed lake south of San Antonio near Three Rivers. Built in the mid-eighties, Choke has plenty of flooded South Texas brushy flats and arroyos. The vast amount of hydrilla on the lake is key to the thriving life in the lake. As part of the golden triangle of bass fishing, Choke Canyon is host to tournaments requiring over thirty pounds for five-fish competitions.

Ray requires a two-day minimun booking for this beautiful lake swimming with various bass and sunfish.
